I want to travel to the country of Georgia. I am from America. I have never traveled to another country before and have no idea where to begin to get a passport, visa, or how to get a plane ticket or how much money I need to save to make all this happen. Somebody please help!

get passport at post office, you need birht certificate, picture ID, adn adult if you are under 18 who watches over you, $100 bucks. it takes a few weeks to get to you. you do not need this to buy the plane tickets though, just to get out of the country and back in again. i would call AAA about setting up a flight and check prices for you. they are great with that. A trip to Georgia is gonna be expensive ($3000).
it costs $800 to get from RI to Hawaii if that gets things rolling in your mind.
You can get a passport application at any post office. You will need to get passport pictures done too. These can be done at any photography shop and also places like Walgreen’s, CVS etc. You just have to check what you have in your town.
I like Lonely Planet. com for travel info. Google traveling to Georgia. Also look at the US State department web site for things like visa requirements, recommended shots, immunizations and travel warnings.
Any site like travelocity, flights.com etc will show you flights you can get. You can also go to a travel agent in your area for help booking travel arrangements. They can also get information for you about the country you are going to go to.
The more money you can save the less stress you will have when traveling. If you have a tight budget traveling can be stressful if you want to do something and can’t because the money is not there.
