I’m doing a project on the voice and I want to know how far the human voice can travel in an outdoor situation. This would be without aid of a microphone or an amphitheater setting. Just one person speaking to a crowd outside.

In our village, the farms bit far away. When the lunch arrives .The farm labourer, call his wife or other co-labour, to lunch, who is working about 1 – 1.5 Kms away, by a loud whistling, standing on an elevated place. Upon catching the signal, the other person, pass it further. With in 30 Min, all labours working in an area of 5-6 Sq Kms gather to have their Lunch. But they find it difficult during rainy season. Similarly, when the wind flow is also in the same direction, it reaches even 2 Kms away.
That’s difficult. Cause there are obstacles in the way. It depends on how high the person is standing too.
So I guess 300m?
this can vary because when the human vioce screams it obviously will travel louder because its loader allowing more ppl to hear wat u r saying. and if u whisper to a frend or sumthing then a lot of ppl wont hear wat ur saying so it can vary with the possiblities of how far the human vioce can travel.
