It depends on many factors. Is it high or low season when you want to travel? If high season you better buy your ticket at least 6 months or more in advance.
If low season, is it something happening during the week you want to travel? Maybe a big sports event. If yes and you’re not flexible with dates, again book very early.
However, low season and no special event. Then you can gamble and wait until about 3 month before departure. You might be lucky and prices will be lowered due to a sale. But you risk that cheap tickets will be sold out on the dates you want.
Not an easy decision and there isn’t an easy answer to your question.
The thing with the promotion offers are they only last a certain amount of time and you must complete your travel by a certain date. Also they may only have a certain number of seats at that promotion price per flight. Therefore if you know you are going to Australia and know when you want to go, I would book immediately and not waste any time. Waiting is definitely not a good idea and I would strongly recommend you do not wait until the last minute to buy a ticket.
Usually when it’s last minute it will be really expensive. So all it matters would be the price, unless maybe the flight is sold out, maybe you should take that into consideration.
Look out for fare drops and discounts, but they may keep going up and down so it’s really good if you just find the best low fare right now and grab that instead.
Probably you won’t get the discount…
I was planning of going to Australia this month & didn’t get the
ticket 2 months ago…
Now…If I still wanna go…I have to pay 50% more for the same time,
same date ticket…
Unless you cannot confirm the traveling time & date…
then you book last minute…
Happy Traveling!!
There is no definite answer to your question because we cannot predict the sale of the tickets. However the general rule is the closer to the departure date, the more expensive it would be, and vice versa. Of course there are last minute deals too sometimes.
Yes, It does matter. Buy it way ahead of time. The more you wait, the higher the price.
it depends if u care what the price is cuz sometimes toward the summer its more expensive.
like two or three months ahead of time last min. purchase is going to cost you ALOT
