I just started this home based travel business two weeks ago and it is great. You Get your own site where people can book their own travel. it is a lot better than travelocity, expedia and the rest of the online sites. They have live agents 24/7 to answer any question your customers may have it rocks. Anyway go to this site after you leave your info you will see a video that will explain how you can get started. You will receive an email with my personal email and number you can contact me with any questions you have. You may want to re-think doing this, even part time…. It’s one of the absolute worst professions to be in, especially in this economy… I’ve been a travel agent for 26 years and regret choosing this career. At one time, years ago, the airlines/hotels/car companies/tour companies used to give lots of freebies. It is way more headache than it’s worth.. If you choose to do this, you are the middleman who has to charge for your services to make money right? Most people today book everything online direct with the airlines/hotel/car companies/tour companies etc, as they can offer a better deal when they don’t have to pay travel agents their commissions… Be very glad it’s not your full time job
I am a travel referral rep and personally I think you might want to rethink it, also, just because of the headache planning people’s trips can be. BUT, if you’re dead set… this Travelocity partner travel agency hires part time travel agents who work at home… very awesome gig… go to and scroll down to the very bottom and click „jobs”-they have their available listings there.
