I have this amazing opportunity to travel abroad through my college. This will be my first time being anywhere but America. We will be here for about 8 days. Here are the choices:
London
Ireland (Dublin, Belfast)
Spain (Toledo, Madrid, Salamanca)
Scotland (Edinburg)
Any recommendations?
Extraneous notes: I am really into antiques/old buildings/ancient ruins. I like warm weather. I love travelling, so any of these would be a win for me.

My favorites of those listed are Madrid (for the art museums which are incredible, plus Spain will be a little warmer) and Edinburgh (for everything else). I used to live in Edinburgh, and it’s a fantastic place to explore if you love old buildings. The „new” part of the city is 200-300 years old, and Old Town is much older. The surrounding scenery is beautiful (climbing Arthur’s Seat is a must). It’s a great combination of atmosphere, history and a lively nightlife. Scots are also very friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that the weather can be unpleasant, especially in winter.
I recommend reading through city guides (Wikitravel is good for listing what to do in each place) and choosing the one that seems most interesting to you.
All depends on how important the warm weather is. ;0)
For all the other criteria, I would say it is definitely a straight choice between Edinburgh and London.
Overall, I would say London is the obvious choice. You could spend 8 weeks in London (let alone 8 days) and see something new and exciting every day. It is also a lot warmer than Edinburgh.
Spain is warmer, but Ireland if you like getting drunk.
irish
Pick London. U could get to speak that funny English.
