We are flying from San Diego to Australia and we are not sure if we should use a car seat or let my wiggly three year old sit with an airline harness on the seat. Our concerns are that we want her to be able to use the tray and the last car seat we used was too high for this. We also want it to be the safest way and an easy way for her to nap. Does anyone have any suggestions of the best way to travel with toddlers? Thanks so much!

Use the car seat. it is much safer for your child than her sitting in the seat by herself. You cannot use a traditional booster seat. They are not FAA approved. In the event of an accident the car seat is MUCH safer!!…PLEASE use the car seat!
carseat. it is safer, more comfrotable for her, and will probably give her a napping position she is used to. i would also suggest bringing some books, music or blankets that she is used to sleeping with or using before. JETLAG!!!!!
I would strongly recommend a car seat.
To use a car seat on board it should be less then 45inches in height and it needs to have a sticker on it that says „approved for airline travel” most car seats do – but just double check.
Try a booster chair. or when it is time to use thee tray let the kid sit on her knees. When napping let her curl up between the both of you.
One word: NANNY
my friend has two toddlers and on her trips to Hawaii she puts them in their OWN carseats – her girls seem to feel a little safer b/c they are familiar with it.
