I am going to saint hilaire de riez next week but I want to travel to le grande motte (or any good beaches that are going to be hot) – what is the best way to get there (I do not want to drive), how long would it take and where can I find how much it costs.

There are trains that go from Nantes to Montpellier.
Maybe you can find better with trains from La Roche sur Yon to La Grande Motte, but it will probably involve a transfer in Bordeaux.
