I’m planning on traveling to Ireland for a week in November. I was wondering if there’s a budget bus or train which I could travel on around Ireland?
Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should probably stay in one section. If you try travelling the whole country, you’re just gonna waste your time.
You should choose either the East or West.
Depends what you’re into. Go East (Dublin) if you want to see the city. You won’t get a real sense of Ireland from Dublin though.
I’d advise you visit the West though and stay there for the week. Its far more authentically ‘Irish’ and I feel it’ll probably give you all you expect from a holiday here.
Clare is beautiful, rural but at the same time close enough to Galway (if you’re desperate fot the night life!).
I know there’s a tourist bus thing called the ‘Paddywagon’ that brings you to sites around Clare such as The cliffs of Moher, The burren…etc (All must-sees)
As far as I know, there isn’t one specific bus or train that travels the whole country. Probably due to fact that its not a good idea!
Hope you have a good trip!
Elle’s right. while the country is not so big, the „things to do and see” list is endless. choose a couple of neighbouring counties to visit. while the views are breathtaking from the bus, the real holiday in Ireland is meeting its people, chatting over coffee or a pint.
i holiday in ireland every year, sometimes Galway/Clare sometimes Cork/Kerry etc and have a ball every time. most of our pubs have got a good food thing going since the smoking ban, so you can take a meal almost anywhere.
Bus Eireann have regular services to almost all the towns
Bring a good warm, waterproof jacket
And enjoy
Regular buses are great for travelling around Ireland. Or you could rent a car. WIth only a week that’s what I’d do.
