When can one travel with a newborn out of the country and what vaccinations need to be done beforehand? We live in the US and need to travel to see family in Peru.

I would definitely talk to your babies Dr about that one. I’m guessing it wont be for a while… you want to play it safe.
You can fly as soon as the baby is born and he/she is healthy. I had to travel with my 6 week old and everything was fine. They don’t have to be vaccinated. If the baby is breastfed it’s even better because the baby has a strong immune system. I flew from Munich to New York. The only reason why we waited so long was because the baby has to have a passport.
they say you should wait atleast 3 months before a baby is on an airplane, but as long as he has a passport he should be fine.
Ask your doc. I would say when they get vaccinations at 2 months, so won’t get seriously ill.
