I agree with the above posters. You would claim such as by opting for the itemized deduction, instead of taking the standarized amount. However, I am not sure if the commuting cost to get CEU’s to continue whatever license you have would qualify.
And you couldn’t take the class in the city where you live because? You couldn’t drive home each night because?
If you intionally took a CPE class in a remote city to take a vacation, you can’d deduct any more than the class tuition.
