Short answer, no.
The cheapest way to travel by sea, is as passenger on a cargo ship. The facilities are basic (no pool, no entertainment, limited food menu, etc.), but the accommodation will be private and built to a modern, high standard.
However, it’s NOT a cheap option to air travel. A one-way Transatlantic crossing on a cargo ship will still set you back the best part of £1,000.
The cheapest way to get to the U.S.A. is to fly there.
